PitchLog Privacy Policy

PitchLog is operated by Lessizmo LLC. This policy explains how the PitchLog website, progressive web app, and Android app handle information.

Microphone audio and pitch analysis

PitchLog accesses the microphone with your permission when you start a take. Choosing a microphone input or using Allow microphone access / refresh list in Audio settings also briefly opens the microphone, then stops it. Microphone audio and pitch analysis are processed on your device. PitchLog does not upload microphone audio, recordings, detected notes, pitch measurements, or take results to Lessizmo LLC or analytics services.

If replay recording is enabled, the current take's audio is kept temporarily in app memory. It is discarded when the take is cleared or replaced, or when the app process ends. PitchLog does not save replay audio as an account or cloud recording.

Information stored on your device

PitchLog stores preferences and onboarding state locally so the app can remember your settings. The current Android release configuration disables Android app backup. You can remove local information by clearing PitchLog's app or site data, or by uninstalling the Android app.

Analytics

The PitchLog website and web app may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate use of the service and the onboarding flow. These events do not include microphone audio, recordings, detected notes, pitch measurements, or take results. Google may process device, browser, network, and usage information under the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics is disabled in the Google Play Android build.

Feedback

If you open the optional Feedback link, you leave PitchLog and use a Google Forms page. Any information you choose to submit there is processed by Google and is used by Lessizmo LLC to review and respond to feedback. Do not include microphone recordings or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your support request.

Android purchases

Android purchases are processed by Google Play. PitchLog sends your purchase token over HTTPS to a Lessizmo LLC verification service hosted on Amazon Web Services. The service uses Google Play to verify purchase status and the paid expiry date, and to acknowledge purchases and manual extensions. Lessizmo LLC does not receive your full payment-card details. Google's handling of purchase information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

The verification service processes purchase tokens in memory and does not store them in a purchase database or application logs. Google also delivers purchase-change notifications containing purchase tokens through Google Cloud Pub/Sub so processing can complete while the app is closed. Undelivered notifications can be retained for delivery and retries for up to seven days; our subscription does not retain acknowledged messages. AWS diagnostic logs are retained for 30 days and contain execution metadata and fixed failure categories rather than purchase tokens or request bodies. The hosting services also process network information needed to handle requests.

PitchLog stores confirmed access, expiry, and clock checkpoints on your device for offline use within the verified period, including normal device restarts. If clock checks cannot establish validity, online verification is required. No microphone audio or practice results are sent for purchase verification.

Google Play Billing diagnostics

The Google Play Billing Library included in the Android app automatically sends billing diagnostics to Google. These can include billing API success and failure results, connection information, and technical device information such as brand, model, manufacturer, Android build information, and memory capacity. Google uses Billing Library logs to improve its performance and support for errors, under the Google Privacy Policy. PitchLog does not provide an in-app switch to disable this SDK logging. Microphone audio and practice results are not included in this diagnostic logging. Google Analytics remains disabled in the Google Play Android build.

Sharing and sale of information

Lessizmo LLC does not sell personal information. Information is shared with Google and the hosting providers described above for the applicable web analytics, feedback, purchase verification, and Billing SDK diagnostics, or when disclosure is required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when PitchLog's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
