PitchLog Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the PitchLog website, web app, and Android app, operated by Lessizmo LLC, Japan ("we", "us"). By using PitchLog, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use PitchLog. If you cannot legally enter into this agreement on your own, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.

Using PitchLog

PitchLog helps you practice and review musical pitch. We grant you a non-exclusive right to use the app for its intended purpose, subject to these terms and any applicable purchase period. You may use it for your own practice, teaching, or professional musical activities. Features and recording limits may differ between the web app, Android app, and Free and Pro access; the app describes the features available to you.

Pitch measurements are estimates affected by your device, microphone, instrument, background noise, and settings. We do not guarantee measurement accuracy or a particular improvement in your musical skills. Use comfortable listening levels when playing reference sounds or replaying audio.

Android Pro purchases

PitchLog Pro is offered through Google Play as one year of prepaid Android access. The price, currency, applicable taxes, and purchase period are shown in Google Play before you pay. Pro does not renew automatically. Each extension requires a separate purchase that you choose to make. Google Play determines the confirmed expiry date, including any remaining time when you extend access. When the paid period ends, you can continue using the Free features.

Purchases are associated with your Google Play account. Internet access is required to activate, restore, or extend Pro. Confirmed access can be used offline within its verified period, although device-clock inconsistencies may require online verification. Use Restore purchases with the same Google Play account if you need to recover access. Android purchases do not unlock Pro in the web app. Uninstalling PitchLog does not itself request a refund.

Refunds and consumer rights

Google Play purchases are subject to the applicable Google Play purchase terms and refund policies. You can request a refund through Google Play or contact us for help with a purchase or faulty service. Eligibility depends on the circumstances and applicable law. A refund or revocation of a purchase may end the corresponding Pro access.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable rights to withdrawal, refunds, repair, replacement, price reduction, or other remedies for digital content or services that do not conform to the contract. Any mandatory protections under the laws of your country of residence continue to apply.

Your recordings and privacy

You retain your rights in the audio you create. You are responsible for having any permissions needed to record other people or protected material. PitchLog processes microphone audio and pitch analysis on your device and does not upload your recordings or practice results to us. Replay audio is temporary, so do not rely on PitchLog as an archive or backup. Our Privacy Policy explains local storage, web analytics, feedback, and purchase verification.

Acceptable use and ownership

Use PitchLog lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, gain unauthorized access to its systems, bypass purchase verification, or distribute unauthorized copies of the app. These restrictions do not limit activities permitted by mandatory law. PitchLog's software, branding, and site content belong to Lessizmo LLC or their respective owners. Third-party software remains subject to its applicable licenses.

Availability, changes, and responsibility

We aim to provide PitchLog with reasonable care and skill. We may release updates to improve the app, address security issues, or meet legal requirements. We cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or compatibility with every device. Please contact us if a problem prevents you from using a purchased feature.

If we discontinue a paid feature or make a change that materially reduces what you purchased during an existing paid period, we will provide appropriate notice and any remedy required by applicable law, which may include a refund for the affected period. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised terms here with an updated effective date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes through the app or another appropriate channel. Where required by law, we will obtain your agreement before changes take effect. Updates do not remove rights relating to an existing purchase.
